Iiyama touchscreens use resistive technology. This is ideal for controlled environments, but not ideal for manufacturing where there are screwdrivers etc. If anything scores the surface it will split. In these instances, it is better to opt for surface capacitive touch. Iiyama also manufacturer desktop LCD monitors with toughened safety glass fitted behind the bezel to meet the increasing demands of protected LCDs within education, retail and industrial applications. All Iiyama LCDs comply with ISO-13406-2 in connection with pixel defects. All iiyama standard LCD desktop monitors include manufacturer 3 year on-site UK warranty as standard, and touchscreens include 3 years return to base as standard, as per Iiyama T&Cs. For example, a 15" CRT monitor is actually 14", where as a 15" LCD monitor is 15" diagonal. These LCD monitors are designed to be used as normal computer monitors. Only the ones marked as having video can accept input from video recorders, DVD players and video cameras. You can play DVD movies with any monitor if your computer has a DVD drive and DVD movie player software installed.
